Breakfast with Microsoft Surface 2.0

Waking up in the morning, siping coffee what does one want to do? Maybe read news or see what their friends are doing for the day and for some lazy birds, just plain coffee does the trick. But for the rest of us who want to open up their mind just when they wake up , just coffee isn't enough.

A conventional breakfast
Consider a morning in the life of a tech geek. He wakes up late because he has been coding under the moon, goes to the dining table and takes TOI just to go through events of yesterday. What he wants is not what he gets! He wants the news from the tech world and not about the neighbors daughter who ran away last night. The daily news just has one column featuring tech news. And what if he gets an idea of an efficient code and he just wants to code it and check it.

Let us now spice up the daily breakfast a little
Let's replace the newspaper with a notebook or a tablet. Now he gets what he wants and now he can even code or do the thing he wants. He can read tech and simultaneously see what his friends and colleagues are doing.

Let's spice it up a little more
Lets stick the laptop to the dining table itself. A large display, touchscreen interface running on whichever OS you prefer, for my love for apple let's consider Macintosh. So now you have YouTube running in a window and Facebook and twitter feeds popping up in a corner. See its so good, easy and lot more productive. And you can now easily share an awesome YouTube video with your family and show them your best friends pics of his vacation.

Let's put a cherry on top
What if you could play WoW or Counter strike on the massive display with your hands!
And for the family gamers, how would it feel to play 4 player reactor on the massive display.
All of this is now true, unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show'12, Las Vegas  is a massive 55 inch touchscreen surface display, and is developed by Microsoft, called the Microsoft surface 2.0. But right now it is now for our pockets though, a price of $7600.

Just for sake of stats, Surface 1.0 costs around $15000, double the cost of Surface 2.0. With time, research and growing demand we'll get better and cheaper ones in the near future.
Till then read the newspapers.
